Crea Tamil Dictionary app for iPhone and iPad

Very good but does not fonctionate any more on my iphone 4 since the last update.

CreAs Tamil-Tamil-english dictionary is the only Tamil dictionary that is based on a substantial and ever expanding corpus of words in current use, as is the trend all over the world. One strong feature of the CreA dictionary is that it is also a translators dictionary that gives meanings according to the contextual nuances of words. After the remarkable success of the first print edition and the revised edition that followed it in, the current app has brought with it great ease of consultation, with the promised periodical updates. A must for all who read contemporary Tamil!

I found this application fantastic! It is an important "heavy tool", transformed into an incredible "light tool"! The dictionary is easy to use and the keyboard has double option Ta/Eng. One can type the word or select directly the first letter of the word and all the words will easily appear on the left side of the page. For each entrance of the dict. info about its grammatical function, example of its use in the linguistic context, the English translation are given. I already had the traditional Dictionary, but this application revolutionised my existence! I use to travel frequently and many times I need to have with me the CRE-A: dictionary, and sometimes it is not the best one can wish to travel with it in your bag. Now you can have it whenever you want, whenever you need, wherever you are our! I absolutely advice Tamil students and/or scholar to have it!

the good: the best contemporary tamil-english dictionary available. period. the bad: keyboard interface is problematic. with ios 7, tamil keyboard is native (tamil 99 and anjal keyboards are available). an update is necessary in order to reflect this change: either provide an option to show/hide in-app tamil keyboard or do away with it entirely.
